for Non-Destructive Testing and Diagnostics Limited
The Hong Kong Society for Non-Destructive Testing and Diagnostics Limited (HKSNT) is registered as a learnt society with its members coming from universities, consultants, contractors, government, quasi-government bodies, laboratories, manufacturers, and suppliers in Hong Kong. HKSNT aims to serve the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Diagnostics industry in Hong Kong and the neighbouring region.
Vision & Mission
- Align NDT practice in Hong Kong with international standards
- Promote NDT technologies and practice in Hong Kong
- Administer NDT vocational examination and registration system
- Establish network in the following domains Building, Infrastructure and Mechanical Plants, Aerospace and Automobile, Railway, Maritime, Energy, Manufacturing
Objectives of HKSNT
- Organizing seminars and technical visits relating to various Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technologies
- Channeling of technology transfer between academia and industry for various NDT technologies
- Making university researches more practical and useful for practitioners
- Informing and sharing of new technologies worldwide among members
- Developing and fostering friendship among members for exchange of opinions on various NDT technologies
- To provide certification recognition services for NDT courses
- To promulgate the advances in NDT technologies.
Training & Certification
HKSNT will proactively deliver Certification Recognition Services for vocational / Professional NDT courses, the following of which will be organized as demanded once the accreditation of ISO 17024 on Conformity Assessment is acquired or through our international / regional partners: –
- ASNT SNT TC 1A / ISO 9712 Level 2 in Visual Testing
- ASNT SNT TC 1A / ISO 9712 Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing
- ASNT SNT TC 1A / ISO 9712 Level 2 in Radiographic Testing
- ASNT SNT TC 1A / ISO 9712 Level 2 in Magnetic Particle Testing
- ASNT SNT TC 1A / ISO 9712 Level 2 Penetrant Testing
- ASNT SNT TC 1A / ISO 9712 Level 2 in Eddy Current Testing
- Thermal / Infrared Testing Level I for operator
- Thermal / Infrared Testing Level II for data analyst
- Microwave Technology Testing Level I for operator
- Microwave Technology Testing Level II for data analyst
Memberships
Membership in the Society consists of Three (3) classes having voting rights: Honorary Fellow, Fellow, Corporate Member.
The other Five (5) classes not having voting rights: Co-opted Member, Company Member, Associate Member, Affiliated Member and Student Member.
Membership fees of Executive Board Members are waived.
